About Katrina
Katrina is a Filipino soprano, conductor, composer, arts administrator, and actor in Austin, TX. For the 26/27 season, Katrina sings with Conspirare’s Chamber Chorus in Conspirare Christmas and the American Choral Directors Association National Conference; serves as Conspirare Symphonic Choir’s Alto Principal; Philharmonie Austin in Handel’s Dixit Dominus; at various performances with Tatsulok, Kapwa; and as Artistic Director and Conductor of Inversion Ensemble.
In 25/26, Katrina performed at the AIDS Quilt Service of Remembrance and Hope, Conspirare Christmas, Piedra de Sol , Sound Break at the Blanton with Conspirare, with VAMP x Panoramic Voices in Femme Gaze, Philharmonie Austin at Hear My Prayer: Lenten Reflections, and with Tatsulok at their Commissioning Fundraiser, Studio A’s Living Music Gala, plus multiple performances with various groups at the Here Be Monsters Music Festival. That season also marked her debut season with Inversion Ensemble as its permanent Artistic Director and Conductor, leading the Inversion pro mixed choir in The Beer and Now presented by Beerthoven, community choir for 50+ Coda in America, Our America and Dream a Little Dream, pro treble choir Da Capo in Chiaroscuro, and the pro mixed choir’s collaboration with Invoke in String Theory. Katrina also joined the Zach Scott Theater as a faculty for their Pre-Professional Company and a Teaching Artist for their Adult Acting Classes (Intro to Musical Theater).
